Birthright Citizenship Legislation Introduced by Morgan Griffith

Jul 24
1 min read

Our Congressman, Morgan Griffith, has introduced legislation to end birthright citizenship in U.S. territories.  His July 16, 2026, newsletter describes his concern over what he calls “the so-called ’birth tourism’ industry that is taking place in the American territories.”

In support of his bill H.R. 9724, Mr. Griffith states that the recent SCOTUS ruling in Trump v. Barbara “does not address the birthright citizenship process in the U.S. territories.”

This is our congressman.  He represents us.  If we don’t agree with this legislation, we should tell him that.
